I have been having pain in my lower abdomin for a few weeks now. I have always had problems with my stomach. My dr. sent me for ultrasound came back good. Then I went to the ER with pain and they did a CT scan and a bunch of bloodwork all normal! Tomorrow i go to see my GYN. I am so scared they are going to tell me it is endo. I am only 26 and have 1 child and really want moer in the near future! I know that endo can affect your fertility and i am soooo scared. Now the nurse at my regular doctor told me if it was endo there would be some, even tiny sign of it on the CT scan and/or ultrasound. But then i hear only a lap can determine that. Now I have doctors saying it could be IBS because i have heartburn, upper abdominal pain and ALOT of mucus in my stool (sorry TMI). I am so confused and totally scared. Have any of you had these types of symptoms? What did it turn out to be???

Hi Melissa,

I know that you are frightened and worried at the moment. I'd suggest that you simply take it easy and wait to see what your gynecologist says. Take the steps you need to take to seek a diagnosis. Once you have a diagnosis, then the treatment plan and options will come. One step at a time, dear. Smile

ah arnt doctors great
At times doctors just dont know what the answer is, so they guess. The best thing to do is that you need to keep at it and find out what the problem is for sure, not just them thinking it is this or that.

For endo, the only way for them to tell is from a Lap. I just had one done two months ago, and found out I do have endo. I wasnt suprised. Just so you know you can still have kids even though you have endo. A lot of women have endo. Also the surgery (lapo) it cleans you out and also you are more likly to get pregnant after you have it.

I also have IBS lol ya I have a few issues that took a long time to find out what they where. For me when I have pain from IBS its more on my upper right side. And when I get my period is the only time I have pain from the Endo. Hope that helps a little bit.

Request for more tests. Have you had your intestines looked at? might want to chat that out first.

Goodluck

think you need to see a
think you should see a Gastrointestine Dr. Mucus in your stools is most likly related to intestine issues. For sure you should get a that looked into.
