endometriosis and risk for ectopic pregnancy Posted: 06-09-07 20:32pm
Here is my introduction:
I am 27 yrs old and have been married for
1 yr we dated and lived together for 3
years and were friends and roommates for
just over a year before dating. Anyway,
last November we decided to ttc. I stopped
taking BC of 10 years and we just had fun
not worrying about it. We conceived in
Feb, which was a lot faster than we
anticipated. About 7 weeks after finding
out we were pregnant we started having
complications. My hcg was not rising like
it should and there was some bleeding. Dr
suspected ectopic (since I have
endometriosis I am at risk for ectopics)
but nothing indicated such on US, however
nothing was showing up intrauterine
either. So at my doctors request I got an
injection of chemotherapy for fear of the
possibility of an ectopic leading to a
ruptured tube.
This was and possibly is the hardest thing
I have ever had to go through. Anyway, It
has since been a couple months and my
husband and I are now ttc again. This
month was our first month trying. I have
not started my period yet but I don't
expect to be pregnant either since my
cycles are messed up and there is no
telling when ovulation occurred this
month. Anyway, that is my story, no
questions...just looking for a little baby
dust I guess!
I usually lurk on the pregnancy board but
ttc seems like a good place for me stick
around so I thought I would say hi.

Welcome MrsJ to "getting pregnant". I too
am 27. I have been married for 4 and a
half years. My husband and I have been
ttc for about 8 months now with no
success. We have both been checked out by
our family doctor and according to her
tests, are both "normal". We were just
referred to a fertility clinic, and have
our first consultation with them on
October 15th (i guess we are not the only
ones have issues). It definitely has been
a trying time.
But enough about me. I can only imagine
what you went through with your m/c, and I
too am sorry for your loss. Are you
currently doing any kind of tracking?
(temp, cm, etc.) This might help to
pinpoint when you ovulate.
Well again, welcome, I hope your stay here
is short and sweet. Baby Dust to you and
all the other "moms-to-be"....

Thanks for he replies, I appreciate the
welcomes. I am not really doing anything
other than just paying attention to when
my period comes and my cm. I tried an lh
predictor for one month but it was just a
waste of money for me. I bought a
thermometer but never started temping it
seems like too much of a pain. I guess I
will just go with the flow and see what
happens. It worked the first time.
