My OB/GYN just recently told me that I may have endometriosis. I do have alot of the symptoms, but I was wondering if you could have nausea with it. I have been SO nauseated lately, and it's not like a sick on my stomach nausea, but just like a really crappy feeling. He said that he has seen it before, but I was wondering if anyone on here has had it before with theirs.

I found out in January that I have endometriosis. First my doctor has me on 2 different kinds of bc pills. Which always make me very sick. Then he did surgery, which seemed to help. After that he gave me 3 Lupron injections. That made me sick too. Not a good experience. But now he has me on the Nuvaring. I am always nauseous. I don't know if it's the nuvaring or the endo. My dr doesn't think it's from the nuvaring. But I have missed 3 or 4 days of work in the past month b/c I have felt so bad.

waiting on medicine to work
I am basically just waiting on the medicine to work right now, and if that doesn't work, then he is gonna do the shots.

I had quite a bit of nausea before I had the surgery to fix some of my endometriosis. Still taking bc for it, and had two other surgeries since. Whenver it came back, the nausea would return as well. It sucks. Sometimes I wish men could either give birth or have our menstrual problems...wait I take that back, I would take birth over a period any day lol. Let the men have our periods.

Yeah it makes me a bit more nauseated than usual however its nothing compared to the pain of the endo.

It really isn't fair that men have no clue of what we go through!!! I am hoping that is was the nuvaring that was making me feel horrible. I took it out yesterday. And so far I am feeling pretty good.

laparascopy
My OB/GYN told me the last time that I saw him that if I still wasn't any better by my next appointment, then he would do a laparascopy. How do they do those? Do they do it in their office or what?

They will do that in the hospital. Mine was same day surgery. I got to go home about 3 or 4 hours afterwards. But they will put you to sleep and they stick this thing in through your bellybutton. It lasers off all the endo. And then he might give you a few stitches or just use glue. My dr used the glue and now you can hardly see where he went in. I had two periods after my surgery and I hardly knew I was on it!! It's incredible! I've never had that little pain with my periods before. But the past few days I have been nauseous again. I am going to start my period within the next week or 2. I wonder if that has anything to do with it? B/c I am no longer using any birth control pills or the nuvaring. I was scared to death before my surgery... I am terrified of needles! haha So that was a pretty big deal for me. But it wasn't even close to being as bad as I thought!!

not surgery
Actually, it's not the laparascopic surgery that they are doing I was talking about the laparascopy thing they do to see how bad your endometriosis actually is. I know what you are talking about, though. You are talking about the surgery itself where you get the endo fixed.

i have enodmetreosis and am about to have my second lap surgery. I have been feeling really nauseated and when I asked the doc about it he told me it is most likely form the endometreosis. I am soooo sick and tired of feeling this way!! It is not only a once a month feeling, it is all of the time and noone seems to understand. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 14 mths now and I just wonder if we should take a break and get back on the pill. This is such a dibilitating disease!

I had the surgery close to two months ago. The dr removed what he could see of the endometreosis. I had my first period since and I also just went off the pill because we want to try for a baby. I was so upset that I still have a lot of pain from my period. Sad It wasnt as bad as it was before the surgery, but not as good as I was thinking it was goin to be.

I am not looking forward to my next one in two weeks. I hope that we get pregnant soon. I know the longer I am off the pill the more chance of my endo getting worse...that really sucks. Jennafer I know how you feel about it, its so furstrating and painful.

Birth Control
Could you tell me the worst side effect you feel from birth control? I have had laparoscopy and the doctor removed 2 cysts, one 12 cm and one 8 cm. He is recommending Lupron and I am hesitant. Do you have any experience with this drug?

Birth control
I found that each birthcontrol is different for me. I found that Marvelon worked for me. The main side effect that i had was feeling depressed, so it took me trying three different kinds before I found the one for me.
I dont know anything about Lupron though. If you are hesitant ask your Dr more questions or seach the web.

excellent post
Excellent post! I have been feeling very nauseated and it's always worse right before my period starts. I haven't been diagnosed (the docs seem reluctant to do a laparoscopy) but I want them to just do it so at least I have an answer...

My old doc wanted to put me on Lupron w/o even finding out if I had endo for sure. I was against that- what's the point of taking this serious of a medication if you're not 100% sure that you even have the disease?

Needless to say, I'm working with a new ob/gyn now. Wish me luck.

My 10 year old may have endometriosis. Based on her symptoms, the gynecologist believes she has endo so she gave her a Depo shot. She started her period right after she turned 9 and it wasn't so bad at first, but about 8 months later it started getting heavy and lengthy. She is experiencing intense nausea during her period and even when she doesn't have her period. Her nausea acts up quite a bit after she eats. Has anyone experienced this along with endometriosis? She is starting to get depressed about not ever feeling well. She is canceling sleep overs, birthday parties and other fun activities. She cries for me not to make her ride the bus because it will upset her stomach. She refers to it as her queeziness. She is a great student, has many friends, supportive family and she is not one to usually complain about her health. Needless to say we are very worried. Nov. 3 she is scheduled to see a Pediatric Endocrinologist. We are hoping she will want to conduct further testing so that we can find out exactly what is going on with our daughter. Please give us any advice on what we can do to help her. Appreciate it.
