Good day!

I was diagnosed with endometrial polyp and ovarian cyst left measuring 3.4 cm. I have no other symptoms except mild dysmenorrhea. My doctor suggested me to have the polyp remove by means of hysteroscopy. I went for a second opinion, and the ob gyne told me to undergo Fractional Curettage. I was so confused, but, Curettage is cheaper than Hysteroscopy. I just want to ask your opinion about this, please help me decide. I know Hysterocospy is less invasive but it is very expensive procedure.

I'm waiting for your advise.

Thanks.

Do you know what your insurance will cover? It's possible that with insurance in the equation, the price difference will matter less- usually they are more willing to cover less invasive procedures, right?

From what I could tell on webMD, they are both pretty common procedures. I'm sure the risks are minimal with both, however, less invasive means quicker recovery.

Good luck!
