I was recently diagnosed by office biopsy with endometrial hyperplasia no atypia. I have no symptoms at all except when I had an ultrasound my endometrial stripe was 12.9mm but that was 4 days before my period. I am 49 yrs. old and still get a regular period no problems. My ultrasound also said there is a 3-4mm cystic area in the lining. What does this all mean and why is my doctor sending me for a hysteroscopy and d&c? If the biopsy came back complex endometrial hyperplasia what are they looking for now.
