Hi all,

I was diagnosed with endo 11 years ago,I have had numerous laporoscopies and have been on all types of medication.3 years ago i eventually got the all clear, however i was advised that if pain comes back to get it checked.

In the last 2 years i have been in agony about 3 days before i get my period. The pain starts in my right hand side and it feels like it travels down to the top of my right leg.by the time my periods come the pain in in my lower back and i bleed for 7-10 days.By about day 5 of my period the pain starts to ease, however i do be exhausted. This is a different type of pain than what i experienced before it starts as a dull ache and turns into a sharp stabbing pain.

Its been about 4 years since my last smear, which they have showed abnormal cells however my doc has always said that its nothing to worry about and has never investigated it further.I am going to have a smear in 2 weeks time and im really nervous as i know something isnt right.

Do you think this is the endo back or could it be something else, any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks

That's interesting... because I was told when I found out I had Endo when I was 15, that I'll always have it, there's no "cure" for it but there are treatments so it would not get worse. I wonder if I got wrong information from the Dr. I seen?

I probably got the wrong doctor, however i think it may be my scar tissue thats causing all my problems or maybe it is my endo coming back in a more aggresive form

possibility?
i understand what you mean by dull ache i have a laproscopy (sorry for inaccurate spelling) booked fro 28th feb and as well as many other symptoms my pains also starts as a dull ache like almost pressure then turns into sharp stabbing pains i have been told i have endo but thi op is to see the extent of it?
i havent been informed very well on endo infact i was given a leaflet so i took it upon myself to find these forums for advice and support my advice to you is that when you go for your next smear its important you bring up the fact that you have/had endo as this could be a vital piece of info and as for the fact that you have had abnormal cells but they have been ignored is insane! my mum had aabnormal cells and it led to all sorts of gyni problems that she still suffers from today i dont mean to scare or sound like the grim reaper but cells are abnormal for a reasen as a sign that something is not right so you should always push your doctor to keep you informed and push to investigate further if not i would get a second oppionion or if you are ina area with a specialist womens hospital i urge you to go there ..i hope everything goes well for you and please keep in touch...now to take a piece of my own advice lol
