I was seeing a man for almost three month, it was very intense, and we spoke all of the time, but he never really made plans with me, but when we saw eachother we were in heaven, the fact that he never made plans with me, he has kids and is a devoted divorced dad, lives 20 miles away and works six days a week in a family bus, plus he is renovated his house, I understand that, but I too am a single parent working many hrs, live in NYC and multi-task, he couldn't see to want to make a date with me, but says he loves me and it will get easier for us over time, I didn't hear from him but then got a text saying he wished he was with me I was too impatient and told him that if he doesn't make a plan with me I am moving on, he said Ok you have to do what you have to do. that was all on a text message. we haven't spoken since it's been four days, I regret reacting the way I did, should I have been more patient, I was always feeling so lonely?

Well, your styles just might not be compatible. He doesn't sound like he wants to commit...and you do. I think you did the right thing in asserting your needs. He WON'T be able to provide what you ask of him, so look for someone who can. 3 months is better than a few years waiting for him to "come around" to your way of planning dates (which is totally reasonable!).

You did the right thing
Hi thereagain... Don't let your dreamy thoughts lead you into thinking you made a mistake. It was a good choice, he may come to his senses and try to make things better and if he never gets in touch again - you will know how much, or in fact how little you meant for him, in that case you are better off without him. I am sure there is somebody for you out there, ready to commit and who will not freak out... You can read my story if it helps.... : http://ehealthforum.com/health/military-ma n-relationship-t150854.html
all the best x
