Empty sack, no fetal pole. normal for nothing to be seen?

My daughter is in the same situation, no sign of miscarriage has been observed but they say the sac is empty! Her next scan is Tuesday, and I will come back to post the outcome. We were looking for the same answers as yourself when we came across the above post.....we are not giving up hope just yet!

The result of the scan was not so good, they said it may have been early miscarriage as the sac was still empty and have arranged a d&c for her.

i have my 1st ultrasound yesterday. I become pregnant thru IUI done on Feb.13. 1st ultrasound (intravaginal) they couldnt see anything so i was referred by our Fertility Specialist / Gynecologist to a Diagnostic Center which she said has the most advanced ultrasound equipment. This morning, i had Tummy ultrasound but it isn't effective, we couldn't see anything at all. Few minutes after, i have undergone another ultrasound vaginal again this time and there for the first time we saw the sac, a hollow all-black small formation at the top horn of my heart-shaped uterus. My empty sac shows 5weeks and 3 days when i am supposed to be 7days and 6days pregnant (based from the time of the my LMP Jan 27) My HCG level is high. Yesterday, it was 8000. Now, it has grown to 11K. We went back to the fertility specialist/gyne with the result and there she break the bad news that really broke our hearts, she said it's a missed miscarriage. She referred me to go to the nearest maternity hospital and is advised to immediately take tablet to sart miscarriage. I have no bleeding nor felt any pain. I have no signs of miscarriage at all. I feel okay.
My husband and i are still hopeful that somehow this could just a miscalculation and expecting that the sac size could have been the actual age of gestation.
Tomorrow we are ask to go back again for another scan and another test. The hospital as well wouldn't conduct the 'induced miscarriage' as i have not fall in the criteria yet. Sac size should be larger than 16mm (mine is yet 6mm) and falling HCG (mine has been so far increasing since last 2 days).
I really do appreciate if those who have posted here in the past could give any update of what has been the outcome.
My husband and i are not giving up just yet. I am willing to wait up to 11 weeks just if there are no complications. Help us pray! i will keep you guys posted, whatever will be the outcome.
