for the last year i have had a close relationship with a former co-worker. as i have become closer to him he has gradually started to try to manipulate me and be emotionally abusive. about a week ago he exploded verbally on me and threatened me physically and ever since then i have been in kind of feeling of emotional numbness and shock, i am hyper-sensitive to some noises i feel like i am on an emotional roller coaster. i have an appointment with a therapist tomorrow. i saw a friend of mine and told her how i was feeling and i told her about how my co-worker had been abusive. she later said it could be menopause. i am 43. and yes i have heard of early menopause. but, i don't think menopause can happen so quickly. i think the huge explosive argument caused me to feel this way. what do you think?
