I first suspected I was in early labour at around 5pm on friday & by 6 it was obvious the pains were getting stronger. I went to hospital at 7.45 & I was 5cm dilated. By 10pm I was 8cm & the midwife said she thought I would have given birth by that point if Ella's head had been lower down, but she was still fairly high up. Eventually, when my waters broke at around 11.45, I felt the urge to push & just under 15 minutes later Ella came into the world. I "panted" her out & the midwife stopped her head coming out too fast, & I didn't tear at all! It was a big relief because I had a 3rd degree tear last time.
Ella's perfect.. I'm totally in love with her
