Get Plan B. It's an emergency contraceptive that you can take up to 72 hours after sex (you CAN squeeze it to 5 days...but to me, that's really pushing it). If you take Plan B, you decrease your chances of pregnancy significantly. You don't need a prescription if you are above 18, so just scoot over to Target. It costs about $40-50...if that's too much, you can get over to Planned Parenthood and get some for cheaper.
Yes, ANYTIME you have sex...you could get pregnant. While he may have done it before...quit playing a game of chance with something as serious as having a kid.
