It takes 3-4 (closer to 4) weeks from conception for most pregnancy tests to detect the pregnancy hormone. If you happen to have had sex sunday NIGHT you are still within the time frame to take emergency contraception (72 hours from the time you had unprotected sex). If you miss a period I would go to the doctor ASAP as they can do a "qualitative blood test" that would pick up on lower levels of the hormone possibly picking it up a few days sooner than most other home pregnancy tests would. PS: try and be safe from now on as it only takes one time to get pregnant. Best of Luck!

Unfortunately you have missed the window in which you could have taken emergency contraception. (72hrs after sex). Pregnancy tests normally say they can be used one day after the "missed period" so I'm afraid you'll have to wait and see if you miss a period.

She can still take EC up to 120 hours after sex-- its just that the chances of it working are lower if not taken within 72 hours.

if i were you like maddie said i'd go get the plan B pill...then just wait for your next period to come..if you miss it then buy a test..girl you should know to ALWAYS use protection..no matter what..dont count on the boy to bring it, him not having a condom could just be an excuse not to use one

Hi I was also pregnant at a young age. I was sixteen. My baby is a year old now. From what I can tell you seem like a bright young woman but it seems to me like you're eager to get pregnant....Honey your heart is in the wrong place. Babies are wonderful and do not ruin young peoples lives but they are a setback and let me tell you how. First it is extremely hard to finish school unless you have someone to stay at home with your baby second no one is going to watch your baby so you can go to school and work to support your baby...because other people have jobs and such...Also with no education you can usually only acquire a minimum wage job and fyi having a minimum wage job would enable you to pay for daycare and only daycare so you'd be working just to work. I'm not saying it's bad to have a kid I'm just saying that wanting one at your age is a little naive and selfish. But hey if you have support go for it.

oh i forgot to put that I am allergic to condoms and no I did not plan on having a baby(if I am pregnant) I just am educated about pregnancy stuff from the shows (discovery channel and stuff like that) the shows never tell you when you should take a pregnancy test. But i know my ovulation time because I wanted to know if it was close to the ovulation time(i thought it was) but i just wanted to ask people if mabye they knew I should take a pregnancy test!
