What age and how much benadryl within what time frame? Wat type of benadryl?

Some medication can slow down the respiratory system

Here are the side effects of an overdose for benadryl allergy decongestant:

Overdose symptoms may include feeling restless or nervous, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, warmth or tingly feeling, or seizure (convulsions).

I'm not for certain but it may.

Some teens (and adults) will overdo it on over the counter medications to get a high or don't follow directions.

I'm not saying this is what happened with your son.

I do hope he is ok.

oh my, the hospital did this? Personally I would be questioning the doctor and administator about this.

Since he was in the hospital they may have given him additional medication that could have affected him as well.

I have nothing else to offer; I do hope that he is OK.
