Q: Effects of Lamictal on fertility

I am on lamitcal 100 mg twice a day. I have been on this medicine foir 16 months. My wife and I in a month want to try to have another child. Does this medicine cause inferitly? I have heard that some seizure medicines do, and was concerned this would.

Current medical status: had one seizure on 10-16-2007
Current medical treatment: lamitcal for the one seizure i had

There have been studies on animals that indicate that lamictal does not affect fertility. No studies of the effect of lamictal on human fertility were performed.
