Effects of High Bilirubin Level.

HI,

I need some inputs. My new born baby had bilirubin level 21. He was treated by Phtotheropy and bilirubin levem has been dropped to 8. Now dcotor has suggetsed some medicines and some sunbath. He also suggeste to avoid crowded places so baby would not get infected. What elase we should do to avoid rise in bilirubin level?

I did some search on net and found that there could be helath issues in future for babies those who are treated for high bilirubin level. Is thi strue. What are the symptoms?
We are bit worried about this.

Can you please guide us.
