Now I am married and me and my wife want to have a child, we have tryed for four months now and still no pregnacy. Could it be possible my hernia I had is preventing me from being able to inpregnate my wife?

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
Go ahead with getting a complete semen analysis done (looking into the parameters as prescribed by WHO) to see if there are any obstructive causes (as result of hernia or damage due to surgery done). Visit an Urologist/Andrologist for further evaluation and assistance. Get your wife/partner also evaluated (infertility work-up) to rule out any underlying abnormalities responsible for inability to conceive/infertility. Treatment as appropriate would be started (based on examination findings and investigation results) to help your wife/partner get pregnant. Be in regular follow-up and monitoring of your treating doctor and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. You wife/partner should monitor her cervical mucus changes and the BBT (basal body temperature) charting to predict her ovulation to time your intercourse for having fruitful results. Have diet with foods rich in zinc content to ensure better maturation of egg and sperms. Have intercourse in positions that allow for deeper penetration for high deposit of semen. All the best.
Take care.
