Q: ED getting worse
asked by: fivecoat on October 22nd, 2009

I have type 2 diabetes. I am experiencing ED and it is getting worse (Viagra or Cialas does not work) My bloog sugar is around 140 average. If I can somehow maintain a lower blood sugar average HgbA1c, will my ED problems ease up? I would at least be happy with the Viagra or Cialas working.

PDE-5 inhibitors like Viagra and Cialis only promote blood flow and they do nothing to increase libido, on top of that there are no studys on the long term effects of these drugs on the body. They have only been around for a little over 10 years. I think there would be alot of room for improvement if you can keep your glucose under control. Have you tried any herbs? Your goal should be to keep your testosterone levels as high as possible to combat the sugar. Doing that and finding an alternative way of increasing the circulation to your penis other than the PDE-5 drugs is your best bet in this case. Burning the sugar and increasing the circulation will keep the nerve endings in the penis alive.

Have you used your wife/partner as an aphrodisiac?...A woman using hot sexual words and moving her sexual parts at the right time can bring a man to youth...But it must be a meaning experience...She must be his Porn Queen....Possibly this and any advice you may get from other here will help....I have done this with my husband for over four years...May I assure you that it does work....Saying this, you must find a positive approach to this...Forget what you can't do and concentrate on her sexual parts...You MUST learn to find your own sexual orgy in this happening between two people...Good luck...

Hey fivecoat
What's your BP like?

I'd definately drop your blood sugar down regardless of the ED benifits. Most likely you'll see more regular function in general when you're blood sugar is normalized which means ED treatments, cialis, Viagra will be more effective and more predictable.

I'd be hesitant to pursue herbal remedies for ED. Their effectiveness, drug interaction and long-term effects are vastly under-researched and under-reported. If you're interrested in a natural medicine talk to your doctor about it or consult with a licenced naturapathic MD.
