Hello,
I was wondering if some of you could help me. I am 17 yrs old and I have had chronic fatigue for many years. I think I inherited some of my dad’s problems as he has been sickly all his life. I have a difficult time going to sleep at night. It’s just like my mind will not shut down. Sometimes I lay awake all night. Then early in the morning when I am finally exhausted enough to go to sleep, I then sleep until noon or worse. What can I do? My parents are hard on me telling me that I should fight it and do something.
Recently, I bought some mouth strips that are supposed to help you go to sleep. I have taken them now for about a week. They do help me go to sleep, but they also make it difficult for me to wake up and when I get up then its like I'm on drugs I'm so so tried wost then when I went to sleep. I still can not get up until noon or so fighting what the strips do to me.
I have been tested and I do have EBV causing chronic fatigue syndrome. I try to do things for my health, but it just seems hopeless. Nothing seems to work.
I sure would appreciate some help with what I can do being a teenager with a short attention span and limited budget.
tia!

Nicky

sleepy
hey i've had similar problems.. im always tired and i've had ebv and its hard to fall asleep... i cant get my mind to stop at night because i have anxiety which might be your problem and i've found that if i keep a notebook by my bed and write down all the things that i think i need to remember so i dont worry about them. and also try to concentrate on something basic and simple and only think about that til you end up gettin so bored you fall asleep. i trace random shapes in my head over and over. you may fall asleep earlier so you dont sleep in so late. i also drink a NATURAL energy drink in the morning to give me the extra boost.. hope this helps

Chronic Fatique and Fibromyalgia
I've suffered CFS, and Fibromyalgia for many years. At night,I take Zanax and Zanaflex, to help with sleep, to help my mind to shut down and relax my muscles. Plus it helps with my Chronic headaches/Migraines. I do take Provigil to help with CFS, in the morning, to help with energy, vitamin B-100, a multi- vitamin and Vit. D (I'm deficient, many people are and do not know they are). I'd have some blood work done, see a Rheumatologist, check your Vit. B-12, Vit. D levels, and for anemia. They will also check for EBV, Lupus and other Auto-Immune Diseases.
Best Wishes, D.White
