No, just be careful that you have purred the food enough that you don't choke...Takes longer, but helps many people who have this problem....

Yes!!! chewing your food is break down process... if you leave more of this work to you stomach (not chewing adequtely with dentures or teeth)... the stomach works overtime and can lead to ulcers, GERD, obstructed bowels, etc
