I think it depends on how big a scale the problem is. If it's happening every day then you may want to get help, especially if you're over weight.
But most people will eat when they're not hungry from time to time, if it's a treat they find particularly yummy. I think that's normal.

hey, i agree with victoria a lot of ppl do it mainly when there bored, but thats when it can become out of control just be careful to not over indulge but every now and again is fine hope this helps Jenny

hey
i have the same problem but i can consume 10,000 calories. eating when not hungery can be down to emotions such as eating to feel better. It epends on how much you eat and how frequent to know if you have a problem.

Sometimes it happens, people eat even they are not feeling hungry. It may be cause of mouth watering, finding food temting or craving for something.
but in some cases it is just like because you should eat. Yes as per balancing you should eat little food not in too much quantity in every 4-5 hours. In that you can have fruits, salad, juice, light snacks. but never skip lunch and dinner because of that.
So depends on appetite people eat.

In some cases people like my friend do eat even if he's not hungry to let go of his anger towards something. Or sometimes like people have said, eating if there is something appetizing for them
