Q: Eating outside of home

Hi. I've been suffering from TMJD for about a year and a half now, and I haven't been able to chew anything for over a year. While I've managed to find a lot of information about how to eat a healthy, balanced diet like this thanks to the Internet, but I don't know what I can eat when I leave home. Homemade soups and smoothies (which make up most of what I exist on) don't travel well, so I'm stuck on water and 100% juices whenever I go out. I used to rely on Ensure for this, but I dislike a lot of the ingredients in these products (sugar, high fructose corn syrup, artificial flavours... need I go on?).

Anyway, if someone could help me think of a few HEALTHY things that I could 'eat' when I leave home so I don't feel faint whenever I leave home I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks.

It is difficult. I eat fish when I go out for dinner, it is so soft that it requires little chewing. Other than that, I cut up sandwiches into small pieces and lots of time leave the bread out. I also do omlettes, they are easy to swallow. I hope this helped a little.

No you didn't suggest fish to someone who is already concerneda bout artificial flavors, fish has mercury, but I guess we have to survive somehow, eat or die...

How about buying bulk protein powder at a store that specialized in this - nutrition store etc, Whole Foods might even have organic protein based on soy, so mixed that up, chill it well, and it's good for a day or two.
I am sure you know we need essential fatty acids, so flax seed oil, fish oil, omegas... need I go on?
