surgery to have ears pinned back

Hiya!!!!

I had my ears pinned back last Monday, had a General anasthetic!!!
I still have my bandage on now, i have already seen the outcome because i had to go to my doctor as my bandage was put on too tight at the hospital, and i read an artical that scared the hell out of me!!! (this lass had her ears done and with the bandages been too tight cutting off her blood circulation.... one of her ears fell off!!!!) That's probably bulls**t but scared me, so i went and had it re-dressed looser!

I had it done on the NHS.. Just went to my doctor and told him everything about why i hated them so much. I told him that i was getting bullied, told him that i wouldn't even step foot in a hairdressers incase someone i knew walked in while they were doing my hair and it was also ruinin my career as i've always wanted to be a beauty theropist but you have to wear your hair up to do it! He immediatly reffered me to Doncaster hospital within 2 weeks i was in for my operation!!! It was that easy, i couldn't believe it!!

The operation is nothing to worry about, i was so scared it was my first ever operation. When they put me to sleep i just went light headed then with what felt like a few minutes i was awake in the recovery room! People take operation differently, i woke up with blurry vision but was back to normal within half an hour and was sent home 3 hours later!!

Well as i said i still have my bandages on, you don't look the best looking!! Your head feels really heavy with the bandage on and i'll tell you now it's a bugger!! It makes you itch and is quite uncomfortable, worst of all when your trying to sleep, but i can tell you now it's all worth it!

I have one slight problem with my ears, it's hard to explain it but i'm now not happy with my lug hole it looks all folded up inside. Has anybody else had this surgery and this has happened? I don'tknow if it's just because it's still swollen.

If anyone is really self consious about there ears sticking out then i would advise them to go for it. The operations nothing to worry about and niether is the pain afterwards, well i've had no pain at all! I'm really happy with my ears now apart from my lug holes going how they've gone. I'm just glad i can wear my hair up now!
