Q: Early spotting on Alesse ?

I've been taking Alesse birth control for just over 3 months now. I've never missed a pill and have never been more than an hour late taking one. I started having sex with my boyfriend about a month ago and to be safer we also use a condom every time. My last period was a week ago and was lighter than normal, but still on time. My next period is due next week, and yesterday i experienced light spotting for the first time. I'm a paranoid person and am just wondering what the chances of pregnancy are in situations like these?
Thank you!!

You had your period last week and are expecting it again next week? That seems awful close together.

As far as the spotting goes, it can be a symptom of birth control and is unlikely to mean anything regarding pregnancy. Your risk of pregnancy is quite low since you are not ovulating. In addition to that you are being very safe and using condoms also. Good for you!
