i had two counts of unprotected sex last thursday3/20 and 3/2 friday. my period ended that monday before 3/17. it was a sure shot of sperm 2 times in a row. i am feeling some mild cramping and tiredness , heavy boobs. my next period is not for another 2 weeks. i was already ovulating when i did it that sunday/monday 3/23 and 3/24 was my most fertile days. is there a possibility that i am pregnant. i have never been on birth control pills or any form except for condoms which i did not wear recently.

It is way too early for you to be feeling those symptoms. Sore/heavy breasts are also a sign of an oncoming period.

However, if you are having unprotected sex there is definitely a chance of becoming pregnant. Are you trying to become pregnant? If not, I would recommend getting some birth control. Planned parenthood will often give it out for free if you are worried about cost.

Wait for two weeks or until your period is late, and then take a test.

thanx for the reply. i am new at this, so i don't know when to expect symptoms. my next period is not due till april 8th so i'll wait to test a few days before. i do want to be pregnant, that is why we did it without protection twice in a row to up the chances, i started ovulation the day we had intercourse. i am ovulating now but i do understand that i have to wait till ovulation ends which is somewhere around my period time before implantation will happen. i hope i am pregnant ! are the odds of being pregnant really high for me ?

Symptoms usually don't start coming until around the time a pregnancy test shows a positive, which is around two weeks past the act of unprotected sex.

Good luck on your quest to become pregnant! In any given month, a woman has a 25% chance of being pregnant. At 6 month its around 60%, at 9 months its 75%, after a year its 85%, and at 18 months its 90%.

You should start taking prenatal vitamins now, and if you drink or smoke you should also try to cut back a lot/stop now in the best interest of the baby.

I've never taken any birth control of any kind. is the chances still the same for me or could it be higher since i did it around my ovulation time. my boyfriend has one kid already and he said she was created from pre cum..... so i'm putting it together that his little soldiers are very potent and he's 25 years old, he's young. i am 28 ! i called the planned parenthood and they said at any time during ovulation a women can get pregnant. when i had that act of sex i never noticed any sperm coming back out when i went to the bathroom 10 mins later. i think his sperm shots were pretty powerful in that he was right at the entry point to my cervix, i felt minor discomfort like he was forcing it open with the tip of his head. i hope you don't mind me sharing that experience. thank u for all your advice so far you have really been very helpful and knowledgable. i have no one else to talk to about this right now. i have a ton of questions though !

Your chances of pregnancy are the same as the general population. It takes an average couple 12 months to conceive.

not all the time. if shes younger it could happen sooner than 12 months to concieve, your most fertile when your younger, which is why teens get pregnant so fast because they are most fertile than women who wait later on in their lives to have kids.

I'm still young, 28 YEARS OLD ! this would be my first baby if i am pregnant. i think my chances are really high because i had intercourse 3 days after my period. i've talked with several people who have gotten pregnant right after their period, they say thats how it happens. My boyfriend is young also he's 25 YEARS OLD they say young mans sperm is very potent . i have a greater chance of being pregnant because i had two counts of sex...... UNPROTECTED 11pm on 3/20 and 1am on 3/21 he did ejaculate directly inside me both times and that ejaculate stuff DIDN'T come back out of me right away either. ITS A SURE SHOT !

I am thinking about taking a pregnancy test next friday since that would be 4 days before my period and two weeks after my last act of intercourse. i hope i get a positive reading. i was also told that i might have to test 2 or 3 times because the HCG levels might not be high enough after 2 weeks it varies according to the womens body. i think theres a big 4 pack of tests by EPT ! its like $20 at walmart i think !

Having intercourse 3 days after your period actually isn't the best time to conceive. The best time is 14 days before your next period starts, which is when you ovulate (if you have a 28 day cycle). Even if you ovulate on time and have sex on/around that day, are completely healthy, and taking great care of yourself, there is still only a 25% chance each month. Unfortunately getting pregnant isn't always as easy as it seems. I wish you luck and hope that this is your month and it works out for you, but I wouldn't get your hopes too too high until you have a missed period. Make sure you take the test with your first morning urine so the hcg is more concentrated. Good luck Smile

Just to clear things up for her so she doesn't get confused, it's 14 days after the first day of your last period, not 14 days after your period ends. Also, this is for women with a 28 day cycle. If your cycle is 30 days its 15 days after, 32 days is 16 days after, etc.

I pay very close attention to my body. my period ended on 18th this month and I started ovulating on the 20th which is day 9 of my cycle. on the 20 and 21 this month i had intercourse twice, both times he ejaculated in me. from my understanding sperm can live inside a women up to 5 days . on sunday the 23rd I begin my most fertile time. the sperm was already in me when the egg was released. i'm a women who starts ovulation on days 8 or 9 of my cycle, i also ovulate all the way till the day my period starts. I also understand that it will take a lot of time before i experience symptoms of pregnancy , since my ovulation days are so long. i still have two more weeks before i will know. thanx all the support, i am open to all suggestions, even sharing some of your stories on when you guys thought u were pregnant might help too.

Yes, sperm can live for up to five days. However, women do not ovulate for 20 days in a row. It is just not possible. Reguardless, no matter how perfect the timing and conditions, there is still only about a 25% chance. It's just the way statistics are. I'm sorry; I still hope you get the results you are looking for.

I won't know if i'm pregnant till another 2 weeks passes. i am experiencing very mild cramping . never felt cramping before only a few days before my period. next tuesday my period is suppose to come. if no period then i'll test, wait a few days if it doesn't show up then i'll test again pending the results from the first test. this week coming up will be when all my premenstrual symptoms will show and then i'll probily be confused till around my period time.
