Hello and welcome to eHealth Forum!

If you had sex on 8th,9th,10th,11th,13th of October and a regular period on 16th Oct, then you would have ovulated around 4th of Oct. Hence you cannot be pregnant. Also your urine test is negative. To confirm you can either take a blood test or an ultrasound.

On the other hand if the period was really to come on 23rd and you bled for 4 days around 16th then other causes of intermenstrual or between periods bleeding will have to looked at. Pregnancy generally causes spotting and not heavy bleeding. Other causes are hypothyroidism, cervical dysplasia, cervical polyps, cervicitis (infection/inflammation of cervix), vaginitis (infection/inflammation of vagina), cervical and uterine cancer, uterine fibroids, hormonal imbalance, use of blood thinners, genital ulcers, STDs and stress.

Since you have gas, abdominal tightness and discomfort you could be having pelvic inflammatory disease. This can also be ruled out by ultrasound. A stomach flu too can cause the symptoms you are having.

Please consult your doctor or gynecologist as a confirmed diagnosis cannot be given on net. Hope this helps. Take care!
