Hi My name is Ben, I'm 26 yrs old and live in Eagle River Alaska. I am beginning to have some concerns about my health as to what I've been going through for the last couple of months. As to the major problems that I am having are upper abdominal pain both RUQ and LUQ(dull and achy never sharp or dibilitating), very abnormal BM's. They are pale but not yellow and change from hard to semisoft. Also have back pain that radiates through to the front. Never had nausea, vomiting, or a fever. This is probably why I haven't seeked medical attention.

History as it all began, I started to get dull back pain several months ago that seemed to be that of uncomfortable sleep and mattress. I soon began to have my LUQ pain that was so faint that it didn't really concern me. The concern really started about a month ago when I started to get episodes of abdominal pain that went straight across my stomach. I have'nt been a huge drinker, rather a social every friday saturday kind of thing. So now I am to the point of wanting to go to the ER to see what's going on internally. If you someone could please help me with personal experiences, or medical professionals advice as how to approach this would be greatly appreciated.

As I cannot examine you, I will not be able to provide you with a specific diagnosis.

There are a number of conditions that could cause the symptoms that you describe, including gallstones, ulcers, chronic pancreatitis, and irritable bowel syndrome, to name a few.

You will require a proper medical evaluation to identify the cause(s) of these symptoms.

Sincerely,
