my 4year old was diagnosed with ecoli infection which caused UTI that caused diarrhea and high fever.. The doctor said probably from a swimming pool (she had swam 2 months before - is it possible to take that long before symptoms are shows??)
she was given medication an antibiotic which she took and the symptoms went away.. now it has started up again - about a week and a half ago. This time we went to our homeopathic doctor and she was given a remedy but we took samples to the lab and the results came out on Friday - they picked up ecoli infection..AGAIN. she started swimming lessons 3weeks ago so i suppose it could be from there as no one in our home is ill.She has suffered with diarrhea and fever and bad tummy pains she cries everytime she goes to the toilet. Doc gave us a second remedy and she is much better although still complains of sore tummy every now and then. This evening she kept saying she feels the need to urinate but nothing comes out. Should I worry about this feeling and what could it mean?
I hate to see my child in pain and ill and especially with something so disgusting as ecoli bacteria. Could it have been dormant following the first treatment with the anti biotic or must it be a reinfection? please help me im so worried about her.
