After searching over and under what's going on with me - found out I had GERD. a bout with

chronic EBV
chronic fatigue
low platelets
high monocytes

Ultrasound revealed a small benign (?) growth in my throat.

GI wants to do a barium swallow. He doesn't want to do a laryngoscopy - says it's too risky for me. I was *fine* for years, or maybe I just didn't notice what was going on with me - but for 4 months I am now paying attention big time.

He gave me omeprazole - which I just started taking - I can't see any difference with the constant choking feeling.

Pressure in throat is slightly relieved when eating. The feeling of constriction returns after. BM - are strange - orange colored and food is not digested.

Is he missing something? Thoughts from the experts please.

Thanks,
Grace
