This can be normal while taking the pill. It is called break through bleeding.

Well I was on my first week of Sprintec and I started having brownish red discharge as well. But I had sex with out the pill, but protected with a condom, July 31st. I started the pill on August 20th like normal, just 2 days early that last month but my periods aren't always on the same day, I started the pill on that day and after my period I was over I started having that brownish discharge. is that normal?
