I had a hernia operation in the mid nineties. Several years afterwards I began to notice a dull pain in my left testicle. It did seem odd but not particularly serious at first, but it has never gone away. At times it gets worse, which is generally after physical labor or some other kind of strain. This same testicle has also pulled up significantly closer to my body than the right testicle. I also feel an internal tightness in the groin on the left side. Concurrently I have developed fairly chronic erectile dysfunction. Is it possible that these are related? What could be the cause of the pain? And could it be related to the hernia mesh that was inserted in the earlier operation.
