I have a dull ache in my neck as if I constantly have to stretch it, sometimes in the back of my head, and then get bouts of sort of nausea. I've had this for just over a week. I am normally healthy, don't get ill often etc. I have had a lot of stress this year, a relationship break up that devastated me, losing my job, worries about money so I was wondering if this could be leading to the tension in my body, and then the tension is making me feel a bit sick. I haven't lost my appetite, I haven't put on or lost weight. I sleep well, not too much, not too little, I am not tired in the day, nothing hurts in my body.

Hello and welcome to e health forum.

With the description provided it seems that your pain in the neck could be related to musculoskeletal tension associated with your anxiety and stress.

A few measures to de-stress yourself, with regular stretching exercises, application of heat pads and over the counter pain killers like advil or motrin can be very helpful to resolve your symptoms.
