Q: due dates and ultrasounds. . .

I had an ultrasound when I was 6 weeks along becasue I was spotting and the doctor said I was due around September 18. Planned parenthood told me the 19th, another doctor told me the 22nd after my second ultrasound and at my 20 week ultrasound it came up near the 16th. So all I know is that I'm having a baby sometime in the middle of September. I know that due dates are a guesstamate anyway, and the chance of delivering on a due date is unlikely. I was just wondering how nornal it is for the doctors to be unable to reach a consensus?

due dates and ultrasounds
Within the first 12 weeks of pregnancy all babies grow at the same rate. That is the best time to see what the due date is. As they get further along, its not as accurate because babies then grow according to predispositions with mom and dads genetic codes.
