duchenne muscular dystrophy

hi, my 6 year old son has duchenne muscular dystrophy. Does anyone know where we can get a bike for him, maybe something electric or something that will allow his tired legs to play for longer with his friends
thanks

Hi. My bro was also diagnosed with DMD since he was 6. He was told by the doctor that the only way to help him was practising and he did it. I know that the cure for DMD is still unclear and some people may argue that practicing is not good for boys with DMD. However, compared with my cousin who also has DMD but never practiced, now cannot walk at the age of 10, my brother can still walk around the house and cycle to school at the age of 17. Fortunately, he hasn't had any health problems and never had to go to hospital since then. My point is the practice that my bro has done for the past 10 years probably helps him to some extent.

My brother is using an electric bicycle instead of a normal one for his weakening legs. If you son can still cycle, a normal bike may be better for him.
