Q: Dry throat after sore throat

I had strep throat at the beginning of January. I went to the hospital and they gave me amoxicillian. I took all of it like I was supposed too. Then about 5 days later I had another sore throat. It was very dry in our room that morning, so I figured that's what caused that sore throat. After a few days it went away, but my throat has felt dry ever since. I'm constantly drinking water, tea, anything to get a little relief from the dry feeling. This morning I woke up, and still feels dry, but then I noticed my nose was draining in the back of my throat, which caused me to gag, so now on top of the dry feeling, it feels like something is in my throat. I have no insurance, and can't afford to go to a drs office. Could you possibly give me a little in site on what could possibly be going on with my throat?
