I am 18 days post op following septoplasty, UP3 and tonsilectomy. I have an annoying dry area on the back of my tongue and soft palate, is this common and does it fade soon? I had everything lasered, I blamed it on that. I meant to ask my ENT at my 2 week check up, but forgot.

Septoplasty Question
Hi there, I hope this email still finds you since you posted your question a year ago. In your question you mention a dry area on the back of your tongue and palate, I wanted to know if this had gotten better. I had septoplasty surgery 3months ago and have a dry patch in the back of my throat and can't stand it. It bothers me when I sleep and even swallowing. I spoke with my ENT and he said it would go away, that it was because my throat wasn't use to direct air hitting it. Can you please tell me your recovery status?
