My son just took a pre-employment drug test. They said that it wasn't positive nor negative, but that their was an ammonia smell. What does this mean?

Hi

This usually means not enough fluids are being taken in..in other words, he may be a little dehydrated.

Drug Test
Why would they not pass him on the drug test just because he is dehydrated. Is ammonia smell indicative of drug use?

As far as I know I do not believe drug use causes the smell of ammonia.
