Q: Drug-induced lupus and SLE ?

I'm concerned. I was diagnosed at age 12 with drug-induced lupus (I'm 23 now); I was taking minocyclin and after they first diagnosed me with lyme disease and then rheumatoid arthritis, they finally settled on drug-induced lupus. I experienced all the normal symptoms of SLE for a period of about 7 months and then it fizzled away. And my doctor told me that I was "cured" and would most likely never experience any joint pain again. But it wasn't true. I have experienced periodic joint pain every so often since then and am currently flaring up in my wrists and ankles and experiencing the headaches and fatigue symptoms. I have always wondered if since I had drug-induced lupus for 7 months, would I ever develop SLE. I'm in the military and SLE is disqualifying so this is especially important to me. Please share any information you may have on drug-induced lupus turning into SLE. I hate that I'm always in pain. That I limp every single time I get up from a chair because my joints are stiff. I know what it's like to have lupus symptoms and while these flare-ups are not as bad as those were when I was 12/13, they still preoccupy me frequently.
So can drug-induced lupus cause SLE or create better chances for SLE to occur?
