Q: Dreams and sleep disorders
asked by: DoctorQuestion on May 21st, 2008
Hi there
I am working quite long hours at the moment (12 hrs a day regularly), and am falling asleep very easily. When I wake in the morning my girlfriend tells me that I have been Talking, swearing, hitting etc. and am very hard to wake, am told she sometimes hits and pinches me back but I still sleep.
I can't recall any dreams or events throughout the night to explain these situations.
Its not just her that this happens to, one of my friends has confirmed I do this too.

Do you know of any conditions that would promote these events?
any help would be greatly appreciated .

With respect to your description, you probably have very emotional dreams during sleep. Dreams are a reflection of our sub-consciousness. If you talk too much, speak too loud, or hit in your dreams, and that bothers your girlfriend, you can ask for medical help from a mental health doctor. Otherwise, you don’t have any sleeping disorder as long as you can asleep enough.
