Hi, 14, and i was diagnosed with bipolar when i was 12, my boyfriend broke up with me through text recently cause i wouldn't have sex with him. he said to me the night before "you know when i say i love you i mean it right" then he does this? im so confused:( he went out with another girl just for sex but then broke up with her cause he felt bad. he calls me that night and tells me he wasn't thinking straight, and he sounded like he was crying...i mean why was he crying? he wasn't the one dumped though text cause u wer'nt giving him something he wanted? right....so then the next day my friend yells and screams at him him out and i text him and say, "oh my god are you okay" and his reply was "i'm fine, do u mind i'm kinda with someone right now"...i know i probably deserve better, but he was my best friend for 3 years....i used to cut myself a year ago because of family....and now i feel worthless, i mean how could someone be so cold? I've been so nice:( and i dont even know why he did this.....im so upset that i actually been drinking excessive amounts of alcohol....how do i get over this? help!!

You do deserve better, young lady. He's sounds awful. Completely vile. I suggest you will yourself to get over him (it's gradual, but time is the best healer), and spend more time loving yourself and taking care of your health, mind, and body. Don't drink or cut, that will only temporarily numb you, not fix anything at all really. Focus on your hobbies, making new friends, perhaps even volunteering? Do you see a therapist or psychiatrist? Or talk it out with your girlfriends or someone you trust. This boy is not worth the price of your own self esteem.
