I had my tonsils and adenoids removed March 10. Three months ago. (I'm 18 years old) I have more issues now then I ever had before! I agree there is tons more space ( my tonsils were huge and would actually touch when infected ) and it is easier to breathe, that is, When there isn't drainage stuck there ALL the time! I don't get it? I've tried allergy medicines & Mucinex. It feels like there is just a huge lump back there ALL the time. Randomly every now and then it will slide down my throat - and I can feel it. It's really disgusting and I can usually tell when it's about to happen because it will burn. It feels like a ball of something just makes it way down.
The doctor that did my tonsillectomy also told me after surgery that he took out "a little bit" of some allergy causing thing in my nose, I have no idea what it's called, but he said sometimes when they're a little bit bigger he'll shave them down a little. I don't understand, I have worse allergies now then I ever did!
Hopefully somebody can help me out. I've been taking vocal lessons and it's a little hard to get things together when it just doesn't feel right.
thanks !

also, to be clear.. The drainage feels like its a little above my throat, behind my nose. I looked in the mirror the other day & while trying to sing a higher note I could actually see the white stuff. I couldn't get it to go down out around ..anywhere! Just. stuck. annoying.
