i'm a 52 yr old female n on birthcontrol. been breakthru bleeding all month till next pill packet. dr wnts to do a uterine ablation. will that stop period completely since i'm at premenopausal age. dr already gave me a D&C 6 mos ago didn work.. and how long before i can be sexually active (w/ husband) after the ablation procedure

If the problem is due to endometrial ablation, the ablation usually works in controlling the symptoms. You can start being sexually active after about 4-6 weeks of ablation procedure or after your follow-up check done by your treating gynecologist. You should consider following your treating gynecologist’s instructions and proceed with further management. Be in regular follow-up and monitoring with your treating doctor/gynecologist.
