Q: Double vision and strabism
asked by: DoctorQuestion on September 4th, 2008
My eleven yr old child has been treated for a inward turn of left eye with patches as a child. He now sees ok out of both eyes even though he is always had a small turn remaining but in the last month has started getting some double vision on and off, at random times and also some headaches.

Double sight (diplopia) could be due to the easy cross-sight (strabism) that your son still has. His headache is probably caused by the double sight.

You may want to consult an ophthalmologist about his double vision.
