Sorry Mike, the MRI pictures are not showing up on the website. Many back surgery's do not work 100%. This is called "failed back surgery", and can be caused by scar tissue formation in the surgical area, or something else causing the problem.

Positive findings on an MRI are not always symptom causers. Your continued low back pain may be due to: scar tissue formation, vitamin deficiency (specifically vitamin D), Sacroiliac joint dysfunction, inflammation of the nerve, piriformis syndrome, etc.

You may want to consider a consultation with a doctor of Chiropractic. Even though you have had a low back surgery you may still benefit from this type of therapy. Good luck!

I am sorry to hear about your problem. There is a solution to it...

I had painful Sciatica for 4 years and I was determined to find a cure without going to hospital. I then came across a program called Healing Codes. All You do is 5 different had postitions around the face for 6 mins 3 times a day for period 30 days with positive thoughts and deep breathing.... It feels a little strange but it WORKS!!!

What you can do now is for the next 30 days is stroll around in your garden or in the park barefoot. This is called grounding and does wonders for the whole body... you also sleep better too.

Like the previous person stated, your pain could be caused by a number of different conditions. Anybody that has a diskectomy has an advanced risk or progressive disc degeneration. Advanced disc degeneration can cause facet syndromes and most importantly, a reduction in foramenal space which can compress nerves. You could also have compression as a result of scar tissue from the surgery. There could be many causes. Either way, you have no choice but to make the best with what you have left. Do things to increase the health of your discs - including hydration, stop smoking, supplementation including fish oils, lots of low-impact activity that does not inflame the disc. Ice often when you do inflame the disc. Movement is the spice of life and when you stop, your back with get worse.
