My dog Doogie has tiny red bumps on his his back obove his bottom,he also has quite some dandruff I dont know what to do. He's a schnauzer but im not sure if that will help you answer the question. I tried cleaning the area and then i put polysporin on it.......it doesn't irritate him though.

Anyone reply back if you know what I should do!!

Thankyou,

Extremely eHealthy
you could try hydrocortisone cream--or as my vet told me to do give him a benedryll (just like you or i would take) and see if it goes away--that would let you know if its an allergy-------if not id go to your vet and see if he cant clear it up.

Re: dog skin problems
My dog has had something that sounds similar to your dog's symptoms. They were small little raised bumps on the inside of his ear flap, but not actually in his ear. They were red and itchy and when he itched them they got worse. I see a homeopathic vet with my dog and she told us to try just putting calendula cream on them and see if that made them go away. I don't remember if she actually diagnosed them or not, but we used the calendula cream a few times a day (which also helps to soothe them so the dog doesn't scratch as much, very helpful when trying to get bumps to heal) and the bumps disappeared in no time.

Hi, I use Pyoben. It works wonders for my little boys. The secret here is to shampoo the pet until the shampoo is white and lathery... then rinse off - do this 2x and rinse. If the condition is really really bad, then do the very same thing 3 days later. You can wash the baby as often as necessary - and the little one will feel SO MUCH BETTER no more itching. It's a little pricey - but it is soooooo worth it.

Let me know how it works!
