First time post on anty website - be gentle.
I havea daughter who is 2years and 9 months and a picture of Beauty. However, since a very young age she has had a weak chest and numerous chest infections, also what seems to be a constant cough, we have been backwards and forwards to our GP including a late night visit to the emergancy doctor. She has been checked for asthma which gladly appears negative and we are told the infants can have these problems and grow out of them, so fingers crossed. However we also have a golden retriver who molts all year round, my dad has recently got me thinking that he could have something to do with this, does this sound like it could be the case? I mean clearly it sound like there could be a connection, what I am interested in is if there are any existing cases or if anyone knows for a FACT that the two are and have been in related cases in the past.
Thanks

This, indeed, can be a case of dog allergy.
Dogs have a substance, protein excreted in their saliva that is very potent allergen, along with other proteins-allergens in dander (dead skin that is shed), and urine.
Symptoms of dog allergy could range from red, itchy, or swollen eyes, red skin lesions, nasal congestion with runny nose, sneezing, stuffed or itchy ears, post nasal drip, itching and horseness in the throat, coughing and wheezing to frequent bronchitis.
Presence of pats near the child with already diagnosed asthma may lead to worsening asthma and triggering frequent asthma attacks.
