Welcome to ehealthforum,
It is difficult to comment whether your insurance covers the medication, speaking with your insurance company/person can help you in clarification. If you get pregnant, your periods might get lighter or you may miss your periods. If the periods have been heavy or irregular, you should consider going ahead with further evaluation to look for the underlying cause. If needed, you can also consider taking second opinion from another gynecologist, and then proceed with further management. Get started on treatment as appropriate (based on examination findings and investigations results). Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. Drink plenty of water. Take adequate rest. Maintain healthy diet and lifestyle.
