Q: Does marijuana affect birth control? Can I still get pregnant?

I've been taking birth control and smoking pot for the past 2 1/2 months. Can I still become pregnant, even though I've been taking the pill everyday?

I found a Doctor response on another site which answers your question.
"The only way I'm aware of that marijuana would cause the birth control pill to be less effective is if smoking pot caused you to forget to take the pill. I'm aware of no information that the pill is less effective for those who smoke pot."
