Howdy, has anybody had experience with flare-ups being triggered by intense workouts? I'm an old power lifter (62 yrs) who has changed over to Kettle-bells which is a pretty intense workout. I sweat a lot during and after a 30 to 40 min workout. I try to stay hydrated before and after. I have been a gout fighter for the last 15 years. Allopurinol and colchicine give me some relief. However, It seems to be migrating now to different locations on each foot. From the toes to the top of the arch and now the last episode was my ankle. I suspect that it has to do with the fat burning diet I'm using. Low carbs, high protein and veggies. I'm limiting red meat to one serving per day with fish chicken cottage cheese and nuts supplementing. The trouble is that the intense ballistic style work out keeps me hungry all the time. I quit drinking all alcohol 25 years ago. I do use tobacco, chew loose leaf and one cigar a but I don't think that’s the culprit. I have seriously cut back on my coffee to one cup a day which is really tuff to do. I have been following this site for a couple days and have begun to use apple cider vinegar and baking soda along with the colchicine visa vie the alkalinity vs acidity ph balance thing. I thinks that’s where the answer is. I’ve got this last episode on the run. I drank a gallon of water each day for the last two days and haven’t worked out. Which is hard for me to do because I get a little squirrely if I don’t get my workouts in. I’m going to work out tomorrow so I will let you know. I appreciate in thoughts or advice Thanks

i have reduced my flare by adding dandelion leaves, and chickweed into my diet. i try to have them once a day.usually in salads but smoothie the chick weed works well in. i also have cherries during a flare up and they reduce the length and severity of the flare up.i'm also on an antiinflamtory diet....and been reducing the members of the nightshade family potatoes, tomato, eggplant etc
