Q: Does Diane 35 prevent pregnancy?

Hi all, currently my gf is consuming Diane 35 due to irregular period she has. I need to check whether this will gives her regular periods and at the same prevent pregnancy? And can i know how effective this medicine will prevent pregnancy even there any intercourse inbetween assuming that she has taken the medicine regularly. Please reply. Thanks

The Diane 35 website says that it is 99% effective at preventing pregnancy when taken correctly.
