Unfortunately, this is probably too late, but, for others who might want to know the same thing, yes, fasting includes not drinking anything.
You do not want to consume anything with nutrients or caffiene in it. It is usually also recommended that you do not smoke during the fasting time.
So, unless you were told otherwise, fasting means nothing by mouth. Usually, plain water is okay for blood tests.
If the fasting is for a surgical procedure, then unless told otherwise, this means nothing, including water, by mouth. For a surgical procedure, they want your stomach as empty as possible.
